A Brief Course Description
The class begins with the theory and operation of four stroke and two stroke cycle diesel engines.
Tune-up procedures, problem diagnosis, and the Detroit Electronic Unit Injector fuel system, as well as fuel oils, air intake systems and filters are covered in depth.
Shop work consists of engine and fuel system diagnosis, and the tune up of coach engines.
Safety and shop procedures are an important part of this class which is intended for experienced mechanics as well as those new to the trade or not familiar with electronically diesel engines.
