A Brief Course Description
This class covers electronic fuel system components, engine and
transmission sensors and components, basic hydraulic operation,
and the use of the Pro Link data readers and printer.
Shop work includes problem diagnosis using the Diagnostic Data Reader, Detroit Diesel DDEC and Allison Transmission ATEC trouble shooting guides, and the identification of DDEC/ATEC components.
Safety and shop procedures are an important part of this class which is intended for experienced mechanics as well as those new to the trade or not familiar these electronic engine and transmission controls systems.
